Trees for Hamilton is a charitable organization which plants native trees and shrubs in areas of need in the Greater Hamilton Area. Environment Canada recommends a minimum of 30% tree cover. Hamilton’s current tree cover is 19%. We need more trees! Trees improve air quality, beautify the landscape, and sequester carbon. Ultimately, more trees will improve the health of everyone living and working in Hamilton. For every $30 you donate, we plant one more tree in Hamilton. Your donation also contributes to our tree maintenance and volunteer program, ensuring that trees planted survive their vulnerable first years to maturity
