Trees for Hamilton is a charitable organization which plants native trees and shrubs in areas of need in the Greater Hamilton Area. Our funds go directly toward buying native trees which are then planted by volunteer groups. Environment Canada recommends a minimum of 30% tree cover. Hamilton’s current tree cover is 19%.  We need more trees! Trees improve air quality, beautify the landscape, and sequester carbon. Ultimately, more trees will improve the health of everyone living and working in Hamilton.
